Chas' Art Usage Policy

People wishing to use my artwork on websites or in publications will find me to be relatively reasonable, but there are certain limitations that are important to keep in mind.
      Artworks that I've done for hire (found at sites / publications such as Reluctant Press, Sissify.com and TGstories.com) or in pay-access e-Zines are NOT to be used anywhere except the places that have commissioned it. I'm not insanely rich as a result of my illustration work, and cannot afford to have my commission work jeopardized. I ask that this be respected, and in fact, it is not necessary to steal this work when there are other images available. Any for-pay work used without permission is legally actionable, and I (possibly with my clients as well) will respond in kind, if this happens.
      Simply because an illustration appears on the Internet, that doesn't mean that it is "free use." However, artwork found on the free-access section (not including any pay-access portion) of my site at http://www.sweetchastity.com/ may be used freely on non-commercial (i.e. non-pay) websites or publications, provided:
      1) the user contacts me to let me know where and when it will be displayed,
      2) I am given open-ended free access to see the web page where it is displayed (including password, if necessary), or receive a sample copy of the publication, so that I can see how it is used,
      3) a credit stating "artwork by Chas" with a link to my website at http://www.sweetchastity.com/ is provided, preferably on, alongside or underneath the image (a footnote at the bottom of the page or webpage is also acceptable, as long as there is not also other peoples' artwork on the page that might be mistakenly attributed to me; another option is that I can provide a version of a requested image with the URL tastefully added or watermarked), and
      4) I reserve the right to withdraw permission if I have an objection to the use or context. I also reserve the right to revoke this permission, if I deem it necessary for any reason (the onus is on users to check my website for any updated usage information).

This free-access section artwork can be made available to commercial sites / publications if the same conditions above are met, with a couple of added restrictions:
      5) if the website or publication is significant enough by my standards (i.e. wide distribution / customer base / income level), I do reserve the right to request a license fee. Commercial print or web publishers will find me to be reasonable, and worthwhile, and
      6) some of my free-access 3D art is NOT to be used on commercial sites. This is because some of the meshes (3D objects) were made by artists who have not even given me permission to use them in a commercial capacity, so I have no right to extend that to anyone else. Please inquire about specific 3D images, if you wish to use them in this manner.

Images on that don't fall under either category (not commissioned for pay, nor available on my site's free-access section) may be subject to similar usage limitations, or may be subject to a license fee, depending on the illustration and situation. If in doubt, please email me.
